Description

Bring performance-optimized, high-capacity storage to your IBM Netfinity EXP10 with IBM’s slim hot-swappable 9.1GB Wide Ultra SCSI hard drive. Its fast 10,000RPM spindle speed, 40MB per second data transfer rate, and 9ms seek time make this drive perfect for disk intensive server environments. In addition, its hot-swapping support allows you to insert or remove the drive without needing to powering off your server. This drive also features leading technologies, such as Dual-Striped Magneto Resistive (DSMR) heads. DSMR heads allow data to be stored at a very high density, providing higher capacity and enhanced reliability. It squeezes more data on each disk, reducing the number of disks and heads required for a given capacity. With fewer heads and disks per GB, the drive uses less power and generates less heat and sound. This drive is also S.M.A.R.T. (Self Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) compliant to provide advanced warning of impending drive failure through IBM’s Netfinity Manager.
