Description

Today, Hitachi offers a full line of 2.5-inch ATA hard drives for notebook computers with capacities ranging from 2.16 GB to 18 GB. The newest 2.5-inch products use state-of-the-art component technologies, including GMR heads and digital MEEPRML read channels to achieve higher data density and faster data throughput. High capacity and a diversity of interface options are required for today s evolving high-performance storage market. Hitachi delivers a drive offering a 36.8 GB capacity. This drive is a high capacity, high performance drive for workstations, LAN servers, RAIDs and multi -user system. It has a rotational speed of 7,200 rpm and has an ultra-2 interface with 2 MB read/write cache memory. It also has a FC-AL interface with 4 MB read/write cache memory and comes with a MR head and MEEPRML read channel technology.
